Robert Till is an Associate Professor at John Jay College involved in teaching and research in fire science.  His research addresses the evaluation of buildings for fire department intervention.

Dr. Till’s interests also include the protection of transport infrastructure projects including road and rail tunnels, bridges and airports.  He is special expert member of National Fire Protection Agency committee responsible for life safety in subways and other passenger rail systems – the NFPA 130 technical committee.

Professor Till’s current research involves Agent Based Modeling of emergency services intervention and occupant evacuation, and the use of eye-tracking in the identification of building features.

Dr. Till is also a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Connecticut.
